Peralada
Think Peralada, think wine, think music festival, but above all, think golf.In times of old, the historic town of Peralada was, for a while, the capital of Alt Empordà. With a church at its high point, its network of squares and narrow streets and still some remnants of the old town walls, Peralada is a typical Catalan town and well worth a visit.
Just outside the old town boundaries lies the Peralada Golf Course, with the only 5 star hotel in Alt Empordà and an assortment of magnificent residential areas.
The course itself is an outstanding and excellently maintained 18-hole par 71 course which has been perfectly designed to accommodate players of all levels. Built in 1992, the flora has had time to develop and the course has been transformed into a lush setting. Driven by the importance of environmental preservation and nature protection, the Peralada Golf complex blends in well with its surroundings.
Since its opening in 1993, Peralada golf course remains one of the best golf courses of the Costa Brava and regularly hosts high level competitions and tournaments.
